What The Addon Is Used For

Capture abandoned carts for logged-in clients and captured guests.
Display a cart leave warning and optional guest Save Cart modal.
Create one Client automation flow and one Guest automation flow.
Send up to five email steps in each flow.
Use WHMCS promotion codes in automation steps.
Use Template Designs or Custom Templates to control the recovery email layout.
Track email opens, recovery-link clicks, and recovered carts.

Admin Area Sections

Settings: Controls tracking, client SSO recovery, capture delay, admin notifications, cleanup, language options, and guest email blacklist settings.
Template Designs: Controls the built-in email layout variables and custom HTML/CSS templates.
Email Templates: Explains how to create WHMCS Cart Recovery email templates and insert addon variables.
Automations: Controls the Client Flow and Guest Flow, email step timing, selected templates, offer expiry, and promo-code selection.

Recommended Setup Order

1. Install and activate the addon.
2. Configure Settings and Cart Modal behaviour.
3. Create or customize Template Designs and Custom Templates.
4. Create WHMCS Cart Recovery email templates.
5. Create the Client Flow and Guest Flow under Automations.
6. Add promotion codes to WHMCS if you want recovery offers.

1) Upload the entire folder to your website - if you experience problems, try uploading in binary mode. However, do not upload the “upload” folder, just the files inside it!

1) Upload the entire folder to your website - if you experience problems, try uploading in binary mode. However, do not upload the “upload” folder, just the files inside it!
2) Login to the admin area, go to Configuration > System Settings > ADDON MODULES
3) In the Addon Modules page, you will see Abandoned Cart. Click Activate, then click Configure to see the options
4) You can access your module at 'Addons' → 'Abandoned Cart'; you can setup what you need

Maintenance

Fixed: Cart Leave Modal Improvements
- Removed the mouseleave / cursor exit trigger.
- The modal no longer appears simply because the user moves the cursor outside the browser window.
- The modal now relies on the existing click-away/navigation behaviour.

Fixed: Checkout Page Exclusion
- Added an explicit exclusion for:
cart.php?a=checkout
- The cart leave modal will not display on the checkout page.

Fixed: Cart Item Validation
- Added additional validation so the modal only displays when the WHMCS cart contains actual cart items.
- Added a second guard after the addon builds its cart summary to confirm that at least one genuine cart item exists.
- This prevents the modal from appearing for empty or incomplete cart session data.

Fixed: Product Configuration Page
- Added an explicit exclusion for:
cart.php?a=confproduct
- WHMCS temporarily stages a product in the session while the customer is still configuring it.
- Previously, this caused the addon to treat the staged product as if it had already been added to the cart.
- The modal will no longer appear while a customer is configuring a product that has not yet been committed to the cart.
- Once the product configuration is completed and the item is genuinely added to the cart, normal abandoned-cart modal behaviour resumes.

Fixed: Resulting Behavior
- Modal only displays when genuine cart items exist.
- Modal does not display while configuring a product.
- Modal does not display during checkout.
- Modal does not trigger from simple mouse movement.
- Existing click-away/navigation behavior remains in place.
